2019 Non-Profit Leadership Series Begins January 9

Register now for our 2019 Non-Profit Leadership Series.

Attend all four sessions for $100 or attend individual sessions for $25 each.  The first two sessions of the series will be held at the Community Foundation of Fayette County, 5 South Mt. Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, PA 15401.

Due to a larger number of participants, the last two sessions of the series will be held at The Fay Penn Business Event Center, 1040 Eberly Way, Lemont Furnace, PA 15456.

 

Grantwriting Workshop – January 18

The Community Foundation of Fayette County (CFFC) will be hosting a Grantwriting Workshop on Thurs., Jan. 18, at 10:00 a.m. in the Lower Level Conference Room at 2 West Main Street, Uniontown, PA 15401. The workshop will be taught by Rob DeOrio, of DeOrio Strategies Group, who presents the CFFC’s Non-Profit Leadership Series.

DeOrio Strategies Group is s full service consulting firm specializing in fundraising and development. Mr. DeOrio, a Duquesne University graduate, has over 20 years of experience working in the non-profit sector. He has conducted and implemented a variety of fundraising, organizational development, and capacity building programs for clients including feasibility studies, capital campaigns, strategic plans and budget analysis.

Anyone interested in creating more comprehensive grant proposals and achieving better results in fundraising is invited to attend. It consists of a series of six classes designed to guide and inform attendees and to strengthen non-profits. The series includes detailed sessions covering leadership, governance, strategic planning, grantwriting, sustainability, finance, marketing and social media.

Classes are taught by Rob DeOrio of DeOrio Strategies Group. DeOrio Strategies Group is a full service consulting firm specializing in fundraising and development. Mr. DeOrio is a Duquesne University graduate with over 20 years experience working with non-profits.

Total cost for the entire six session course is $100 per person or $25 to attend individual classes. All classes will be held at the Lower Level Conference Room at 2 West Main Street, Uniontown, PA. Dates for the workshops are as follows: March 8 (leadership); March 22 (governance); April 5 (strategic planning); April 19 (finance); May 3 (grantwriting/sustainability) and May 17 (marketing/social media). Each class begins at 5:30 p.m. with a light meal, followed by instruction from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  The Non-Profit Leadership Program is open to anyone with an interest in the non-profit sector.

2016 Non-Profit Leadership Series Offered

The Community Foundation of Fayette County, in partnership with the Fayette County Cultural Trust and DeOrio Strategies Group, is announcing the dates for this year’s Non Profit Leadership Program.

The Non-Profit Leadership Program is an affordable, intensive training course for those interested in non-profit management and board service. It consists of a series of six workshops designed to guide and inform community leaders and to strengthen the non-profit sector. The program includes detailed sessions covering leadership, governance, strategic planning, grantwriting, sustainability, finance, marketing and social media.

Classes are taught by Rob DeOrio of DeOrio Strategies Group and Gina Jones. Total cost for the six session course is $100 per person or $25 per individual session. All sessions will be held at the Connellsville Canteen, 131 West Crawford Ave., Connellsville, PA.

Dates for the workshops are as follows: March 2 (leadership), 16 (governance), 30 (strategic planning); April 13 (finance), 27 (grantwriting/sustainability) and May 11 (marketing/social media). The sessions begin at 5:30 pm with a light meal, followed by instruction from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  This Program is open to anyone with an interest in non-profits.
