The Community Foundation of Fayette County (CFFC) Chairperson, Jim Foutz announced today that 6 organizations serving Fayette County will be awarded a combined total of $16,600 in the 2015 Fall Cycle. Funding for these awards is made possible through the CFFC general grantmaking program, and through funds held at the CFFC, including The Nelson Foundation Fund and The Burchinal Fund.
Organizations receiving support include: The Connellsville Redevelopment Authority (for the city’s economic and fiscal health planning workshop); Demi Brae Cuccia Awareness Program (teen dating violence awareness program); Fayette County Community Action Agency (foodbank refrigeration project); Genesis House (transitional housing for men); Mountain Fellowship Center (for renovations to the Center); Private Industry Council (for the after school food and nutrition program).
“The Community Foundation has a long history of service to our community, and since 1999, we have awarded millions of dollars to Fayette County non-profits. These grant awards represent our program interests including education, arts and culture, health and human services, and economic development,” said Foutz.
The Community Foundation was founded in 1999 and is widely recognized as a significant regional resource for donors and nonprofit organizations. The CFFC holds the distinction of accreditation from the Council on Foundations.
